Serving up a simply straightforward (and straight-up savory) menu of Northern Italian classics like risotto, fresh pasta, crostini, antipasti, and verdure, an extensive wine list highlighting the best biodynamic and organic wines from Italy, and world-class cocktails from the bar, The Tailor’s Son is a love letter to Italy woven from a different cloth.
Our kitchen is rooted in an appreciation for exceptional homegrown ingredients, thoughtful-yet-simple preparations, and a passion for breathing new life into Old World recipes. Desserts borrow from treasured family recipes extending back four generations. In addition to the menus listed here, we offer a selection of daily specials. We accept reservations seven days a week, up to 14 days in advance, via Resy. Please note, bar seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Woodbridge is a neighborhood restaurant, and we always reserve a number of seats for walk-in guests in our dining room. When the restaurant is full, we’re happy to take a name and number and let you know when a table becomes available.
Woodbridge is a nostalgic London restaurant and wine bar in the heart of the city. The vision of Chef Nick Anderer and General Manager/Beverage Director Natalie Johnson, Woodbridge thoughtfully reimagines NYC's rich culinary history through comforting, eclectic American cuisine with deep European influences. The restaurant's design evokes the warmth and casual elegance of the quintessential New York restaurants and bars that serve as our inspiration, updated for today.
Woodbridge sits on a charming block in a landmarked 1850s Greek-revival style building, and the restaurant’s name pays tribute to Anderer’s great, great grandfather, whose emigration to London in the late 1800s paved the way for a line of butchers, bakers, and restaurateurs. The lovingly-appointed space features rich mahogany woodwork, beautiful wrought-iron windows, vintage tableware hand-selected by the team, and a series of still life paintings the duo commissioned from Georgian artist Vitali Dvali.
